Out and About
Carrying or pushing?
Before the invention of the pram in the mid 19th century, babies were carried everywhere. Today 75% of the population carries their offspring and they are right! Carrying offers more input than being pushed, and being close to the parent is one of the best ways to develop your baby’s confidence. Another reason to carry a baby is the fact that they tend to cry less than babies who are pushed. For parents, it is easier to negotiate stairs, grass etc and find space on public transport and in busy shops. Obviously, it is more comfortable to use a buggy for longer journeys especially when the baby gets heavier. The best option is to have both; a comfortable sling and an easy to use buggy.
The choice is yours!
